About Heike Krebs, the Author and Artist, Destination Rising Sun
Heike was born in Wiesbaden-Sonnenberg (Sun Mountain), Germany currently residing in the mountains of Virginia coming from the East Village of NYC and Woodstock, NY. Traveled both worlds of the old and new. The poor and the rich man’s world. The concrete and nature’s world.
Rising with the sun is her practice every day. Her meditative impression through nature’s art crosses all boundaries she creates through her own photographs, combined with the sun, the healing force. She places emphasis on light in its changing qualities (often accentuating the effects of the passage of celestial times), the inclusion of nature as a crucial element of human perception and experience
The making of 7 years of this book is credited to the Indigenous Peoples guiding her back to her own ancestor’s return leading way back in time. The connection of heaven and earth, as above so below, the guidance of the ancient mystery times with nature on her side.
